Not one single event in TX. Typical! Is Celiac not as prevelent in the South? It’s seems like there are fewer events, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. who cater to Celiacs in the South. Frustrating to say the least!
August 1st, 2009 at 2:05 pm
Jennifer — Actually, I thought Texas was pretty well informed about celiac disease and the gluten-free diet. But it’s been a while since I lived there. I did, however, do some digging and found some August GF events in Texas. I’ve added them to the list. Maybe you’ll be able to attend one of them. If not, you’ll at least know that there are plenty of gluten-free folks in the south!

I’ll have to keep checking your events posts! I can’t believe so many of them are in Austin (that’s where I went to college and moved from a year ago). We’re in Houston for the summer and in Boston for 2 more years until my hubby graduates from law school, but I would love to find out about any Boston events
!!

Sophie – I’ll watch for events in Boston for you. In the meantime, you may want to check out the events in Houston this month. Whole Foods on Kirby Dr. is having a Mediterranean Cooking Class that looks great!
