I just saw a recipe for this when we bought some essential oil from Aura Cacia. They have this recipe (or similar) on a card for you to pick up and take home to make. I grabbed some but I am not sure if we are going to make it or not. It sure looks pretty :)

Thanks, Shirley. I like the plain, simple shapes too. With a nice ribbon, they look lovely on trees and packages. But, the kids have the most fun decorating them. The more glitter and sequins the better. :)

This is such a great activity, Heather, and the ornaments are much appreciated as gifts. It's absolutely amazing how long these ornaments will last, too. We have some from many, many years ago. Some still have their scent, but could be redusted if one wanted to do that. Yes, definitely buy the 99 cents variety cinnamon for these. It's so economical. :-) I like the ones that are just simple shapes the best. The salt dough ornaments are also amazing. By the way, Kelly at The Spunky Coconut made a "gingerbread" house with her girls using salt dough. Another great project to do with family for the holidays.
