Gluten-Free Cookbook Recipes Reviewed — Menu Plan Jan. 30

For this month’s Gluten-Free Menu Swap, I tried twelve new recipes, each from a different gluten-free friendly cookbook.

Last week, I tried three comfort food recipes and they were all yummy.

Since we all like bacon and broccoli, I was not surprised that we all enjoyed the Bacon Broccoli from Eat Happy. Familiar tastes made it an easy enjoyable side dish to our meal.

The Cake Pops from The Paleo Kids Cookbook were a nice treat, but the chocolate coating was too thin for my liking. Instead of a 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, I used a whole pound of chocolate with the coconut oil. And I still double-dipped, for a nice thick chocolate.

The Chicken Hash Brown Patties from The Healing Kitchen turned out a little different from the recipe because I didn’t have the sweet potatoes needed. I made it using white potatoes. We all enjoyed them, but I topped mine with a slice of bacon, some chopped green onion, and a little mayonnaise.

Recipes and cookbooks I tried earlier this month:

Smoky Candied Bacon Sweet Potatoes from Against All Grain Celebrations Cookbook

Spinach Artichoke Dip from Minimalist Baker’s Everyday Cooking

Taco Breakfast Bake from Quick and Easy Ketogenic Cooking

Grain Free Apple Cinnamon Muffins from The Wellness Mama Cookbook

Rogan Josh with Sweet Potato Fries from Wel Fed Weeknights

Sticky Barbecue Wings from Gluten-Free Small Bites

Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry from Lexi’s Clean Kitchen

Date Caramel and Apple Slices from The Gluten Free Cookbook for Families

Salmon with Tomato and Basil from The Allergy-Free Family Cookbook

Did anyone else try these recipes? We’d love to know how if any of them worked for you.
