Gluten-Free Fall Produce — Menu Plan October 3

By · Print This Post Print This Post

fallbrusselsAs we welcome in the Fall season, we also welcome the Fall Produce this month. I’m thinking about Brussels Sprouts this week. Do you consider Brussels sprouts to be a fall vegetable? I’m usually able to get them year-round in the grocery stores. Sources on the web indicate that they are typically harvested from September through March. So, they should be great right now and the coming months, as well.

Brussels sprouts has become one of my family’s favorite vegetable. Nothing fancy needed for us — just cut in half and cooked with a little oil (or bacon fat) and salt. We either roast in the oven or in a pan on the stove. Even though we’ve all been enjoying the simplicity of it, I thought it would be fun to find some other ways to cook it. And I found quite a variety of tasty recipes to try!
