Gluten-Free Pears — Menu Plan October 23

The theme this week at the Gluten-Free Menu Swap is Pears. Pears can be a healthy addition to your diet. They are a good source of fiber, anti-oxidants, vitamin C, and potassium. For an extra dose of fiber, be sure to eat the skin, which contains most of dietary fiber and nutrients found in pears.

Pears are plentiful this time of year. If you are looking for a new way to add them to your meals, there are lots of recipes posted online. Sweet dessert recipes with pears are easy to find, but I also found several gluten-free entree recipes with pears, too. They all look delicious. Where do I start? Perhaps at the beginning with Cranberry Maple Pear Bars. They’ll be a great afternoon snack this week.
