This week’s Gluten-Free Menu Swap theme is Try Something New. It’s a New Year, and I’m wondering if anyone is planning anything new to their menus this year. Maybe you got some new cookbooks this year, and want to try some new recipes. Maybe you’ve got a new diet plan, a new food ingredient you want to try, or are simply looking for some new inspiration. Whatever the case, please share your new ideas with us!
I got several new cookbooks last year. And, with the holidays now behind us, I feel like I need to detox from all the excess sugar and grains. So, I’m going to get back to drinking more green smoothies. Smoothies are a great way for me to get the energy I need for the morning, plus help keep me hydrated through our dry winters. This week, I’m going to try Green Machine smoothie, featuring pineapple, banana, and cilantro from Green Smoothies for Every Season.
Be sure to check out the Gluten-Free Menu Swap roundup below, where there will be more gluten-free menus and recipe links for Gluten-Free meals.

Gluten Free Menu Swap Roundup
My Extraordinary Life: Gluten-Free, Low-Carb, Paleo Menu
Like so many of us after the holidays, Lisa is feeling the effects of eating all the wonderful holiday foods. After tracking her carbohydrate intake, she decided to modify her diet this year to follow a Low-Carb Paleo diet. Don’t feel sorry for her! She has lots of great meals on her menu this week, including Low-Carb Pizza, Fried Pork Chops, Pan-Fried Steak, Crustless Quiche Lorraine, Ham and Pineapple Stir-Fry, Herb-Roasted Chicken, and Honey Baked Ham with Spiced Apples. Check out her full menu to get all the yummy recipe links.
Mom’s Plans: Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free Menu
One of Melissa’s goals this year is to try at least one new recipe a week. I think she has more than one on her menu this week: Roasted Pork Loin, One Pot Stuffed Pepper Soup, Meatball Minestrone Soup, Beef Roast, and Hamburger Soup. She’s also back to making meals in advance and freezing them for quick dinners on busy nights. Gotta love easy dinner solutions!
The Peaceful Mom: Simple Gluten-Free Menu
Kimberlee joins us this week with a new (new to me, at least) recipe link for Jamie Deen’s Brunswick Stew. What I love about it is that it uses pulled pork, and I always have so much leftover when I make it for sandwiches. Kimberlee also has Steak and Peppers, BBQ Pork Sliders, Crock Pot Chili, Greek Pasta Salad, and Black Bean Burritos on her menu this week.
The Girl Who Couldn’t Eat Anything: eating without Gluten, Dairy, Peanuts, Oats, or Meat
Elisabeth continues to modify meals and recipes to work for her restricted diet, but wants to find meals that her whole family can enjoy together. Her family’s meals this week include Tacos, Portuguese Soup, BLTs, Pizza, Smoothie, and Fish with Sweet Potatoes.
The Gluten Free Week: Gluten-Free
For something new, Lori is going to try making healthy, gluten-free Spinach Pancakes this week. She’s also making lots of chili (Chili, Chili Taco Salad, and Chili Nachos) to keep her warm during this frigid winter. For the remainder of the week, Lori is planning Chef Salad and Thai Chicken Curry.
