It’s Valentine Week! Angela at Angela’s Kitchen is hosting the Gluten-Free Menu Swap this week with Valentine Treats as the theme.
Last year, I made a heart-shaped pizza for dinner. This year, the kids have requested Pancakes, so I think I’ll pull out my nifty Pancake Pen and make some fun heart-shaped pancakes for dinner this year. For school treats, I’m making heart-shaped, Rice Krispies gluten-free treats.
I’m also thinking about making some heart-shaped cookies with the Cookie Press I got for Christmas. I’ve been wanting to try it, but I put it away after Christmas and forgot about it until recently. I seem to recall some gluten-free friends who have recipes for it: Lisa at Extraordinary Life makes Butter Cookies, Linda at The Gluten-Free Homemaker makes Spritz Cookies, and Amy at Simply Sugar and Gluten-Free makes Sugar-Free Spritz Cookies.
Are you making anything special for the occasion? Here are a few more ideas at Celiac Family:
Celiac Family’s Menu This Week:

Looks like you have the Valentine treat ideas covered. I still can’t believe how excited my college girl was to get her brownie pop bouquet. If I had known she still wanted the hoopla that she did when she was little, I would have done a heart shaped pizza too. This was my first time making anything in the silicone molds. A little weird at first. Do you use yours often?

Yum! Your treats are AMAZING! My big girl (14 years old) saw the egg rolls on your post and asked to make them this weekend with me. I can’t wait to play in the kitchen with the kiddos and to eat the yummy treat! Thanks for sharing!

Wendy – No, I don’t use the silicone molds too often. I forget I even have them until a special occasion calls for them.

As Son used to say back in the day, “I think you are the bestest cook in the whole world!” Heather, you know how to make your kids feel special and to have fun in the kitchen … I love that!
Belated happy Valentine’s Day!

Shirley – Well, I don’t know if I earn the “bestest cook” title. Just last week, my daughter spit out one of my experiments and refused to eat more. At least I get some of them right.
